Introduction

My name is Jane Densham, Nursery Director of Golders Hill Day Nursery.

Teaching and caring is my passion and I thoroughly enjoy my days with each and every child.

I have been involved in education for 30 years both in the USA and in England. Looking back, it seems that I have undertaken nearly every role that the education system offers, from welfare and secretarial positions to governor and teacher.

Having juggled work with parenting (I have three children of my own - now grown-up), I understand the childcare issues that parents face and empathise with their concern to make the best decisions for the most important people in their lives - their children.

I have a lifelong interest in languages, history and archaeology. My garden is my relaxation and I am a firm believer in children exploring the great outdoors - walks in our wonderful London parks, the countryside and on our glorious coast are great pleasures.

There has been much careful planning in the setting up of a holistic day nursery and this has been exciting right from the start.

I hope that GHDN will prove to be the best nursery for your children's needs. Underpinning everything we do here at GHDN is the principle that “if it’s not good enough for our children, then it isn’t good enough for yours.”
